Roads play an important role as an infrastructure for supporting social and economic activities. The Road Division aims to maintain and develop dynamism and international competitiveness, realize sustainable rural areas, form a society that is spiritually rich and where daily life can be maintained without inconvenience, and maintain and expand social and economic activities, all through roads. With such aims in mind, we conduct surveys and research related to construction and effective (smart) use of main road networks and formation of living and road spaces that take a diverse range of users into consideration, and disseminate research results by reflecting them in relevant technical standards and through means such as technical guidance and publicity.
