Energy use of plant waste of urban origin
One of the measures to create low-carbon cities in order to cope with increasingly serious global warming is to utilize pruned branches, cut grass, etc. (urban-derived plant waste) generated from parks and street trees as an energy source.
The use of energy from urban-derived plant waste is also expected from the perspective of securing independent energy sources in times of disaster.
To this end, the Greening and Ecology Laboratory is conducting research aimed at establishing and promoting the use of urban-derived plant waste as an energy source.
