| Summary | It is now necessary to efficiently and effectively improve the service level on interurban roads in Japan by devising various low-cost measures for existing roads. Through our research, we performed estimation and interregional comparison of the service level of interurban roads throughout the country. We also analyzed the relationship between traveling speed and signalized intersection density, and studied the designing method of roundabouts in order to help improve the road functions. |
