Summary In our country, as for the design flood of the dam, the biggest value is adopted among calculated by the discharge of the probability once in 200 years flood or the observed greatest discharge, the specific discharge according to the area by the Creager curve. By the recent heavy rain, some floods to exceed discharge calculated by the curve that is already set occurs. Therefore, on the basis of the frequent occurrence of the extreme phenomenon with the global warming, it is necessary for the design flood to deal with the increase of the discharge precisely. In other words, in the dam, it is necessary to find discharge ability safe enough from a flood predicted that it will occur in future. This examination performed the review of the specific discharge according to the area by recent observed floods and performed the analysis about the change of the rain strength according to the area utilized climate change prediction model where it was necessary to calculate the future maximum discharge that considered climate change.
