| Summary | This study aims to update the method for assessing the cost benefit analysis in the sediment-related disaster prevention works that was issued in 2000. In this research, in order to avoid to take items into double counts, we reviewed the related items carefully and analyzed the relations between them from the economical point of view. We found followings; 1) it would be better to estimate the direct loss of properties by counting cost for recovering from the damage in order to avoid the double count, and 2) the indirect loss arisen from road closes due to disasters should be estimated as the indirect loss caused by facility's damages or increase of transportation fee. |
