Summary	It is difficult to design indoor environment under natural ventilation, because there is insufficient knowledge to evaluate the effect of the natural ventilation space quantitatively and there is no simple method to arrange opening layout. In this study, the simple method to design the layout and area of openings is examined to estimate the energy saving effect of cross ventilation.
