| Summary | With the beginning of the commitment period of 2008 to 2012 of the Kyoto Protocol, top priority is given to the establishment of countermeasures against global warming, including the carbon dioxide emissions reductions in the field of aviation and airports in Japan. In this study, the method to estimate carbon dioxide emissions per airport has been developed. Five airports are employed for case study, to calculate the carbon dioxide emissions and quantitatively analyze them, and to evaluate the reduction effectiveness of the carbon dioxide emissions by countermeasures proposed for this end. |
